  • “Working on a commission with Annie is among the best experiences I have had with any artist. From concept to final installation, Annie offered my client and me a clear vision, enthusiastic collaboration, and impeccable communication. Her site-specific custom painting is museum-quality and truly unique. In telling the 'water story’ of the Chicago River, these paintings add incredible value and dimension to my client's interior, a tenant lounge in a high profile office building in Chicago's loop. I hope to work with her again in the future.”

  • “Commissioning a piece from Annie has opened my eyes to art in an entirely new way. She fully immersed me in the process by collaborating and iterating on the style and coloration of the piece. She gave me the option to collect the water and sediment from bodies of water that held deep emotional value to me - Lake Michigan and the Hudson River - and used them as the main components of the piece. This symbolism, along with the beauty of her work, resulted in the perfect centerpiece for my new home. Thank you, Annie!”

We were thrilled to have our children involved in the thoughtful and purposeful collection of water and sediment from our property in northern Wisconsin. In addition, Annie included us in her artistic process as she masterfully interpreted our unique water bodies in a piece that will hold significance for generations to come. We're thrilled to showcase her beautiful painting as the visual centerpiece in the main living space of our home.”

  • “When we commissioned a painting from Annie, we didn’t just commission a painting. We signed up for a journey that would end with a painting. It was a wonderful experience. It was truly a magical experience to collect water and sediment with her. We felt included in the creative process when we wrote our intentions on the canvas. In the end, we felt Annie didn’t just ask us what we wanted. She took time to understand and create what we needed.

My partner and I have worked with Annie on three paintings and we purchased one of her beautiful charcoal drawings — they are all stunning, organic, and true expressions of artistry. She has come to know my family and is able to deftly interweave our individuality into each piece. She has truly brought the beauty of nature into our home. I couldn’t recommend working with Annie highly enough to you. She is not only a true artist but also a gem of a person! I can’t wait to work with her again.”

  • “Annie created much more than a spectacular painting for my home. Her process is deeply personal and inclusive each step of the way. From our first telephone conversation to the installation of the finished painting, Annie was engaged, curious, sensitive, and professional. I particularly loved receiving updates of her progress through photographs and videos. As an interior designer, I am accustomed to working with creatives and Annie is a rare breed of creative who is very adept at minding the business side of her endeavors. • “We had recently redecorated our living area and wanted to find artwork that was both distinctive and personal. From her initial observations of our space to the presentation of the final work, Annie invited us to become part of the creative process. She listened as we shared our experiences on the Mississippi River in central Minnesota and Rock Creek in western Montana. She has a unique talent for evoking creative engagement with the piece. In addition, she possesses an impeccable attention to detail, is personable, and thoughtful. What is truly amazing, is that our personal and emotional connections to the waters, and to nature in general, resonate and are embodied in the painting.”

  • We commissioned a piece of art from Annie and were thrilled with the result! She asked the right questions – allowing us to dream the piece into existence. She honed-in on its importance relative to the rest of the room. We chose her water-styled painting and shared an opportunity to collect water and sediment from two areas on our farm. The end result is a piece that integrates our indoor and outdoor environments in a totally satisfying way.”

  • I cannot recommend working with Annie highly enough. She is passionate, incredibly talented, professional, and warm. Our painting will be a treasured piece in our home for decades to come! I vastly underestimated how meaningful the creative process with Annie would be. Annie invited my parents, husband, and myself to spend an evening with her at the lakeshore — it was a beautiful and sacred time. Annie explained the philosophy behind her artwork, gave us an opportunity to reflect, and listened carefully to our preferences and vision for each painting. Over the coming weeks, it was stunning to see her creative interpretation of what we shared at the lakeshore come to life in the paintings! Annie delivered our final paintings in advance of our requested date so we could open them together at Christmas.”

  • “My husband and I commissioned a triptych of water paintings from Annie with three separate sets of water and sediment samples. We’d never commissioned an artist before and I fear we’re spoiled for life now. Annie is so organized, so thoughtful, and so timely. We had a say throughout the whole process, from color palette to overall feel, and Annie even joined for one collection which was really special. She sent progress photos, updates, and we had a clear timeline of the process all the way through. We are thrilled with the end result. There’s so much of us in these paintings, but they don’t stray from the heart and soul of what Annie and her work are all about. We could not recommend her more highly.”

  • “From our first conversation with Annie, it was clear that she was truly curious to get to know us, understand our story, and reflect that in the work. The time and care she spent understanding our space, surroundings, and light was impressive. We were delighted to get the chance to help gather the waters and sediment used in our pieces and really appreciated Annie's peaceful, mindful approach to the process. Getting to then see those materials being used and follow along as the work progressed through photos, video, and a studio visit was incredible. We are absolutely thrilled with the results and so grateful to Annie for not only the beautiful finished pieces, but the wonderful experience of bringing them to life.”
